There are plenty of places on the Island to suit all tastes where you can easily and discreetly park up for the night. Please park responsibly, and don’t stay in the same place for more than a night or two. Of course, leave no trace! We also carry a rubbish bag and a litter picker so we can clean up any rubbish as soon as we arrive and take it away with us when we leave. There are a few places on the Island where you need a permit to stay, such as the Ayres nature reserve and there are some specific conditions for staying there. Check the apps like Park4Night for ideas on where you can stay, but there are plenty not marked on there, and we’re not going to give away all our secrets on the interweb, but ask us for ideas when you hire the van. And if the weather changes or the wind gets up, there are plenty of sheltered places you can move onto!
